The historical fiction manga and anime series created by Nanae Chrono. The story begins in 19th century Japan before the Meiji Restoration. Ichimura Tetsunosuke, who joins the Shinsengumi as Hijikata Toshizo's page initially, seeks strenght to avenge his parents' death at the hands of a Choshu rebel. At the same time he will be involved in many events around the Shinsengumi members deveolping deep bonds that neither of them would have expected. Tetsunosuke will have to decide what to do once he gets the power he seeks...
